A new project. Somewhere in the mountains, I created a small cottage. A digital cottage, a place to explore and stay.
The Long Stay grew from the idea of an online stay in a remote place in the mountains. Away from daily routines, expectations and distractions, there is space to look differently at the surroundings and at time itself. The snow, the rain, the objects, the everyday actions, they all become part of the stay.
This week, I furnished the cabin: I placed a bed, a kitchen, a sofa and a fireplace. But that could change every week. Because why would I need a bed? I don’t need sleep in this place. How long will I stay? No idea yet. No rush.
The Long Stay, part of project The Art of Exploring, is an imagined place somewhere between reality and imagination. An environment to stay, observe and discover what happens when, for a while, nothing needs to happen.
